About us

Named after a ship.

"In 1966 I sailed from Livorno on the Amerigo Vespucci. My memories of this great ship were the inspiration."

Our founder crossed the Atlantic aboard the Italian tall ship Amerigo Vespucci and named the restaurant in her honour. Thirty-four years on, it's one of the longest-established independent restaurants in Canary Wharf, still cooking Italian food as only true Italians do.

A private area seats up to 30 for dinner or drinks, and the heated alfresco bar takes functions from corporate occasions to birthdays, with our £30 and £45 set menus and a spuntini menu of Italian finger food: crisp calamari, Parma ham, marinated olives, spicy sausage.
